Ashley Wilburn is a native of Hagerstown in Maryland. She graduated from North Hagerstown High School where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal career is centered around family law. She has a love for it. She focuses her practice on divorce cases, alimony matters, marital property division fights over child custody and child support arrangements. She also handles the post-divorce and enforcement of issues such as step-parent adoptions and private adoptions at parties as and concerns regarding child welfare. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since 2019. She assists parties in resolving their disputes without the need for litigation or court involvement. Ashley mediates private cases as well as court-appointed mediations for people who want to stay clear of litigation and court processes.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She then pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was ranked among the top 10 students of her class. While in law school, Ashley served as a Note Editor for the esteemed Western New England Law Review, showcasing her commitment to legal scholarship and research.

Ashley began her clerkship path after completing her law degree. She was employed by renowned jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She had the privilege of being a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. In 2014, she returned to Hagerstown, Maryland, to serve as a law clerk for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. The primary goal of the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services on cases involving child welfare. Through her tireless efforts, Ashley played a vital role in helping children who were victims of abuse or neglect at the parent or caregivers. Her dedication to social justice spanned beyond her legal practice since she was actively an executive member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force working tirelessly to increase awareness of human trafficking within the tri-state area.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the fields of family law including divorce child support, custody, and guardianships - aswell as estate planning, wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxies - and mediation.

Ashley started Wilburn Law Office, LLC 2023 with the aim of providing a personalized approach for every client's need.
